Her orchestras have participated at NYSSMA Majors three times, receiving either a Gold, or Gold with Distinction designation .
Amelia graduated magna cum laude, from SUNY Fredonia in 2014 with a degree in Music Education. She went on to graduate from Kent State University in 2017, with a Masters in Music degree for Music Education. Ms. Wilson studied viola with David Rose and Noriko Futagami. She has performed with the Binghamton Philhamonic, Woodstock Chamber Orchestra, Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra and in the pit orchestras for numerous theatre productions across New York State. She enjoys picking repertoire that encourages students to practice, learn, and enjoy playing! Conducting and teaching orchestra is very important to her because she wishes to share the many beautiful aspects of music with students so that they can express themselves creatively. Amelia is excited to work with the wonderful student musicians of the Southern Tier, as she leads the Junior Orchestra.
